Understanding Diploma and Credential Options for SWD (Part 3)

This Virtual series is designed to help further the participant’s understanding of post-secondary transition planning for students with disabilities.
The series will be presented by Kristine O’Brien- Resource and Referral Specialist with the Midstate School Age Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center and Transition Specialists with the Midstate Regional Partnership Center (RPC).
We will review NYS regulations on appropriate transition planning with a focus on helping students develop self-determination skills to be successful in school and in their future. We will end the series with NYSED’s guidance on the pathways to diploma and credential options for student with disabilities. Our focus is to enhance the students future planning towards independence in living, learning and earning after high school.
This 3-part series is intended for parents, guardians, students and the professionals that work with them.
This virtual Zoom training will be held each day from Noon-2:00pm
