Specially Designed Instruction- A Guide for Families and Caregivers
June 16 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
This virtual workshop is intended as a guide about SDI for families and caregivers of students with disabilities. Participants will learn about the basics of SDI in special education as well as what SDI may look like in both school and in the home. This presentation also helps caregivers explore the role of families as advocates for their children and how they may work with their child’s teacher(s) and Committee on Special Education (CSE) team to select and use SDI to meet their child’s needs.
Activities and discussions will be used throughout the workshop to help caregivers learn to apply this knowledge when supporting their child’s special education needs.
